Simulation Center
我们的目标是课堂学习和现实生活的临床经验,以改善患者安全和质量的成果之间的桥梁。
The Center
The Simulation Center at MD Anderson is a 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. We are purposed with “Advancing Excellence in Cancer Care” through the use of medical simulation.
The Simulation Center collaborates with multiple departments to assist with integrating medical simulation into current curricula. Simulation events can be implemented in the Center as well as in situ (occurs in the physical environment of the target audience) being that much simulation technology is mobile.
Medical Simulation
Medical simulation is an education technique that imitates the realities encompassing health care without putting actual patients at risk. The purpose of medical simulation is to replicate necessary aspects of health care in a safe and secure environment so that participants are more readily capable of managing situations when encountered in actual clinical practice. Medical simulation is implemented in three main domains: simulation education, simulation training and simulation assessment.
